Guys, I found out how to fix the 3 minute problem

Okay, here is how you can fix this. Go on a separate Apple device and download Minecraft and Minebot (it should be free on iCloud). Join the world. Set your first device onto the app. This will allow the 2nd device to play Minecraft with Minebot indefinitely. Still, as a message to the developer, please fix this. The app is amazing and well loved. Please remove the 3 minute wait function.
